What do you draw style inspiration from?

Vintage style in a modern way has always inspired me, but recently buying vintage and handmade items has been life changing. I stopped supporting corporations with unethical beliefs and practices over a year ago. Which was the best decision. It has shaped my style to reflect me so much more than the trendy and “wear it until you wash it” things I used to buy. Thank you to all the strong, creative, bad ass, independent women running their own businesses.

What is your favorite article of clothing in your wardrobe?

It would have to be my vintage Contempo Casuals leather jacket.
Which Love + Leather necklace is at the top of your wish list?

So many amazing pieces, but I’ve been wanting the Mystic Moons necklace for ever!

How would you describe your personal style?

Girly, but with an edge. I’m a jeans and t-shirt kinda gal for sure. Throw on some statement jewelry, lipstick, boots and I’m ready for most occasions.

Describe yourself using only three words.

Confident, karaoke, enthusiast (my boyfriend suggested bossy, sassy, funny)

What three songs do you currently have playing on repeat?
Eurythmics: Here Comes the Rain Again
Chromeo: Old 45’s.
Bruce Springsteen: I’m on Fire

What's your favorite time of the year?

Fall. I live on the coast, but when I get the chance, the changing leaves in the mountains of N.C. are gorgeous.

What's your favorite movie and why?

Legend. Most people probably haven’t heard of it, but I grew up watching it. It’s the ultimate fairy tale with good vs evil, unicorns, and love conquering all.

What does your ideal day off look like?

Bike rides, friends, and pina coladas.
What past era influences your style the most?

The 80s. It was full of such an eclectic range of fearless fashion. From the goth style of Siouxsie Sioux to Prince’s frilly shirts and heels to the androgynous Grace Jones. People really expressed themselves through clothing. Maybe it wasn’t always flattering, but who cares they were having a blast and pushing style in a new direction.

Name a place you've explored that has resonated with you.
I’ve lived most of my life in N.C. so when I went to the West Coast for the first time  I was in awe. Oregon’s coast is serene and beautiful. I spent my day exploring cliffs, small waterfalls, and forest trails. A drastic difference from the sand dunes I’ve known my whole life.
